Get smaller thighs

Ladies, wish you could slip into those skin-tight jeans and look sexy?

Wish to get smaller thighs?  If the answer to these is Yes, then we can help you. Here are a few tips that can help you reduce the flab on your thighs and make them less bulky:

Understand your body type:

There are basically 3 body types – Ectomorph, Endomorph, and Mesomorph, and each has its own strengths and weaknesses.

You need to understand you body type and alter your exercise regime accordingly.

  • Ectomorphs are characterized by a tendency towards leanness and slimness.
  • Endomorphs have round body shapes with a thick neck and round torso.
  • Mesomorphs are naturally muscular and have leaner bodies.

Make Dietary Changes
If your body has a tendency of accumulating fat in your thigh area, this can make them look flabby and big. For smaller thighs, you can make some dietary adjustments like eating 5-6 meals a day, eating fiber-rich food and controlling your calorie intake. This will keep your metabolism rate high and prevent fat accumulation in your thighs (or any other part of your body!)

Keep these points in mind –

  • Eat 5-6 mini meals every day
  • Never miss breakfasts
  • Eat fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables rich in nutrients and fiber
  • Avoid refined, processed and packaged foods
  • Drink adequate amount of water to flush away toxins and excess fat
  • Say No to late night meals
  • Eat slowly and understand body’s signals while eating
  • Reduce your intake of alcohol and soda based drinks as they offer nothing but lots of unwanted calories
  • Set achievable weight loss goals and share it with your friends and family to get their support
  • Avoid using weight loss pills and undergoing painful procedures such as liposuction.
  • Opt for simple diet and a regular exercise routine

Spot Reduction:

One of the biggest mistakes people make is focus on a single body part while exercising. There is no such thing as Spot reduction, if you want thinner thighs you need to work on reducing your overall body fat. When you focus on complete body workouts, you lose fat from all parts of your body including your thighs.

Exercise Regularly:

If you want to get rid of fat from your thighs, strength training is the best solution. Although you can’t lose weight in just your thighs, you can include exercises into your workout that will specifically target your thighs and help tone them.  You should indulge in muscle building exercises such as quads, leg presses, leg extensions, and leg curls.

You can opt for brisk walking, running, swimming, or cycling initially, and then gradually shift to more focused weight loss programs offered by health and weight loss experts.

The best plan of action for getting smaller thighs is maintaining a healthy nutritious diet and indulging in muscle building exercises at least three times a week. In addition, pay adequate attention to your food habits and avoid eating fatty and processed foods, as they just make you unhealthy and bulky.

Don’t look for complex weight loss exercises, which cannot be done regularly. Remember, consistency is the key to success.
It is a known fact that muscles feed on fat, and when you build more lean muscles it automatically eats away the excess fat stored in your body.

Through regular strength training at least thrice a week, you can get smaller, toned thighs.
